1.5 gallon Tetra cube tank....

I have come to the conclusion that any betta I put in the 1.5 gallon Tetra tank I have, will get sick.

1.) Nibbles, died of unknown reason. (suspected finrot, or the fact my dad lied and neglected him when I was gone)
2.) Valentino, died after one week from fungus.
3.) Cici, had minor problems, got popeye later on when in the sorority, lost one eye.
4.) Chandelier, spared, oddly became less aggressive and can now be in the sorority.....
5.) Blackbird, dropsy.
6.) Revelation, no signs yet.

Majority of the fish who've lived in the tank have gotten sick and either died or became permanently handicap.... I'm tossing this piece of plastic and getting a new desktop tank.

I had Sid in a similar 1.5g cube for a short while - he was fine, but is happier in a 3.5g. Thing with the 1.5 was keeping up with water changes, which had to be pretty frequent, and making really sure no food sat uneaten at the bottom of the tank, ever. There's not a lot of room for error in a tank that small, so missing a water change can have a huge effect on its occupants.

The 3.5 is a LOT less work, and the 1.5 will soon be a nano tank with some plants and a couple of shrimp.

You could always use the 1.5 gallon as a hospital tank to treat your fish should they ever become ill. At least it won't be garbage!

This is true. I'm not a very busy person so I have lots of time for water changes and stay on top of them.

For now I'll take it apart, clean it, and put it in the closet and decide what to do with it later. I'm going to get a bigger desktop tank later on.

True, I might hold onto it for awhile before I decide to throw it away.
