I had Sid in a similar 1.5g cube for a short while - he was fine, but is happier in a 3.5g. Thing with the 1.5 was keeping up with water changes, which had to be pretty frequent, and making really sure no food sat uneaten at the bottom of the tank, ever. There's not a lot of room for error in a tank that small, so missing a water change can have a huge effect on its occupants.
The 3.5 is a LOT less work, and the 1.5 will soon be a nano tank with some plants and a couple of shrimp.
