So, I've been hearing that this thing is in like a six month cycle as well as that it might possibly be starting up again soon this month. Has anyone heard anything or know anything about this?

I forget which it is, petco or petsmart, but, one of them has an event a few times a year called a $1 per gallon sale. Regular glass tanks 5-55? gallons are sold without any other supplies at the gallon size per dollar so a 5 gallon would be $5, a 10 gallon would be $10, so on and so forth.

Should be starting soon. It's PetCo. I will be purchasing a couple 20's, another 30 and maybe a 55 :O

$1 per gallon of tank. A 55 gallon bare tank would be $55 (add a little for tax but you get the point).

I have heard of those sales! I think a few months ago,like near January they had one. I missed it though because I had a vacation 4 a month,and I started Betta keeping in February
I wished I went though. It would have saved me ALOT of money. I bought a kit,
( Kits cost more for more things ) and it was almost $30!!! It was only a 3.5 gallon and the filter was too strong for my Lebron. You have 2 start over from scratch,and get the other stuff needed 4 an aquarium.

I need a 30 or 40 for my sump and a 55 for big spawns. I need the 20s for holding spawns after grow out (working on bungalos to hang in the tank for the males). I'm moving my two current 30s and a 10 to make room for a drip system and adding two big shelving units on either side of the fish room (one next to my current one).

My parents are really supportive... sometimes I think it's just to shut me up in the fish room so I don't bother them lol.

I have some large rubbermaid tubs, 2 20 and 1 22, as well as a 10 gallon tanks, and a 29 gallon tanks, although, I'm not sure if the 29 is useable for fry because it's a biocube. All not in use atm. So, I'd like a 55 to upgrade my sorority (40g now), a 20 for grow out to the 10 and a 5 to maybe do a RCS tank or something like that.

Wait. Does the sale happen at different times for each store or is it all done at once?

@Zack: I do not believe it foes to bowls, I also believe it happens at the same time per every store. As Dom and I said before, its 5-55 gallons.

I see right now they have a 72 hour sale....12/26 is when I read they will be doing the sale. *browsing*

Well, what I do is i have an LPS. I get most of my things there. I show them that Petco is having the sale and they will honor it as well and usually give me lower prices on everything else, since I'm buying so much.

My petco had it about a month ago but I think it was just for their Grand Opening.

are you sure 5 gallons are included? i though it was only 10 and up
