10 Gallon tank, 1 betta who needs friends. suggestions?

Tank is a 10 gallon with a male betta, heater, 10-20 aqua-tech filter and air pump.
What kind of fish would get along with my betta suggestions and pictures welcome.

Corydoras catfish, ember tetra, x ray tetra are good starters. Platties if you want livebearers. Shrimp species. I've heard furcata (looking into these for myself) and threadfin rainbows. Kuhli Loaches..

It really depends on two things:
- whether your betta will accept company, as many will not
- what your water chemistry is like (pH, hardness etc).

Depending on those two factors, these may make suitable tankmates:
- pygmy cories (6-8)
- panda cories (4-6)
- male Endlers Livebearers (3-4)
- ember tetras (6-8)
- shrimp
- nerite or assassin snails

Anyways, x ray tetra, furcata, and spotted cories are good for hard water with high pH.
Loaches, ember tetra, other cory species are good for soft water and lower pH.
