Hey all,

I'm a bit curious about my store bought boy Murdoch. I've had him for a few months now and I've noticed he's had these stripes that go down his body.

At first I figured stress but he has full appetite he's energetic and responsive. So I'm wondering if he's just a stripey boy? If it helps he was rather small when I bought him, is it possible he is just young?

Those are stress or submission stripes. They can disappear as quickly as they appear.

He's had them for a while he's on his own in the tank.
