Lately, I've noticed that one of my frogs, IHOP, has been hopping up to and biting at Rufio. I am convinced that she thinks that he is food and I'm already seeing little tears in his fins. I'm concerned for my fish and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they dealt with it. Is here any way for me to help them get along again?

The african dwarf frog is sometimes confused with a similar species that is aggressive. Check her toes. Are they webbed, or clawed? If they are clawed, she is not an ADF and needs to be taken back.

Otherwise, consider the needs of the species - ADF are social and need same-species companions in order to be happy. If you only have one, she could be acting out due to stress. You'll either want to set her up in a suitable sized tank with other ADF, or rehome.

Thank you. IHOP does have an ADF companion and she is definitely a female ADF. I have them all in a standard 10 gallon tank and I worry that dividing it would leave them with too little room. If this continues, I will probably rehome one of them. Also, in a month or so, I might be adding a couple of her daughters to keep her company (they are too small now)
