Fred continues to improve and in the process get to be a more and more handsome guy!

Not the smartest ghost shrimp.

Theta the trouble maker is darkening up and seems to be growing!

And then there's little George, still smaller but Theta but George seems to be growing too and is starting to color up and with some really pretty iridescence to boot.

Yeaah, that ghost shrimp in particular can frequently be found just chilling on the betta hammock. :lol:

So far Fred seems to be ignoring her.

question, what do ghost shrimp eat? just the left over fish food? I was thinking about getting two of them for my 5 gallon tank. I keep going back and forth from another nerite snail to a mystery snail and a ghost shrimp. XD I have one Nerite snail for right now.

They eat left over food, algae, fish waste, etc. Because Fred doesn't leave much food I always sink a few pellets for them since Fred isn't a scavenger and doesn't rifle through the gravel to find it.

Hahaha that is what I might have to do. =P Sardine is pretty docile with my Nerite snail so I am hoping some shrimp will be fine with him.

Just keep in mind he might not peacefully coexist with the shrimp. I didn't have three ghost shrimp and Fred did kill one of them.

My baby betta looks just like George! Mine is also beginning to get some blue iridescence

Yeah it's definitely interesting to see how George is starting to color up.
