Hey there!
I am kind of a newbie in this world. I have had my Betta for around two months and there is a white thing that has been growing for like a month already in his ventral fin.
Do you think this might be an anchor worm or some other parasite?
He is right now on a 5 gallon, heated and filtered tank. The current temperature of the tank is 79 F, Ammonia is at 0 ppm as well as Nitrites. Nitrates are at 20ppm.
He is eating well and active as always. He flares at his reflex.

It might be good to mention that the Betta was from a friend before and it was living in a tiny bowl probably with a lot of ammonia. I mention this because I read somewhere that it could be like a fin growing due to ammonia burns because the "tail" of the white thing doesn't look like an anchor worm's tail.
