Hi!
I'm relatively new to this forum, but I just got another male betta. I want to give him a 2-3 gallon tank. I've been looking at options, and I need some advice. I currently have an aqueon mini bow, and while I like it, I'm not crazy about the filter, lighting. So I came up with two other alternatives, but I'm open to suggestions! What do you guys think of these tanks?

I don't know much about LED lighting for bettas, I just know I don't like the special incandescent or fluorescent lighting in the mini bow. Does anyone have LED for their betta? How is it? Thanks!!

Not sure about the hex tank.

The second the LED lights should be fine, but you would need to keep the water lower as it is not uncommon for Bettas to have tendencies to jump. Personally I would look at something else but that's just me.

Personally I like the Tetra Crescent Desktop Aquarium one better, but thats just by looks lol. I don't know much about the tanks.
I have an LED light on my tank and it works well for me :) I've had no problems with it and I even have a tiny little plant that tagged along when I bought my fish and its still alive and sprouting new leaves here and there!
Again though, I don't know very much about lights either, just that mine hasn't caused problems!

I wouldn't use either of these. The first one because I am not a fan of circular or hex tanks because it's for one harder to get a picture of your fish and two it's harder to see the fish.
the second tank I wouldn't do at all because of the no lid thing. Even lowering the water could result in the fish jumping out plus the lids are a benefit to keep debree out of the water like hair or air freshners or anything that could accidently find its way in there. You should maybe look into the mini-bowls they have at petsmart and a few other places. They come in a variety of sizes and are an entire kit.

You should be able to get a different style bulb for the tank you have they have many options. I do have a 2.5 gallon with LED lights and I do like it a lot of course because you don't have to replace bulbs often and it's a little crisper lighting. I bought it at walmart around 20 or 30 dollars is the price it's the wavy front tank. I don't like how it distorts things though, :(

Thanks everyone!
I have the aqueon mini bow for my first betta, and while I like the setup, I hate the filter and lighting. I really want a 2ish gallon tank with LED lighting. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

If i had the money I'd go for the second one but walmart has some pretty dam fancy "vases" for cheaper and look cooler. I currently have two of my boys in walmart vases. I guestimate both to be about a gallon of water.
