I've been considering tankmates for my 10g betta tank for months now and I think I've finally decided on a small rasbora, preferably the Phoenix Rasboras. However, my betta Kirei is going blind because of his dragonscales. Has anyone had tankmates with a blind betta before? Advice? He's not fully blind yet but he's getting there. He's still very active. Rasbora, especially the phoenixes, can be shy and having a predator in the tank causes them to keep to a school more often so I don't think they will cause him any problems. My tank is recently planted and I'm hoping to get things pretty lush in there and have plenty of hiding spots for them but I've never done tankmates with a betta before, especially not one who was gong blind.

Any advice would be welcome!

I've not had a blind Betta with tankmates but I personally wouldn't do it. I would think it would be too much stress for the blind fish.
