Hello =]

Im new to the community and I just finished moving my Male delta tail named Mirage from a 1.5 gallon tank to a 10 gallon one. So far he's handling it like a boss, although he didn't know what to do with all the new decor I bought him.

One of the pieces I got was a Betta bed leaf hammock ~
which is a small green leaf with a suction cup you attach to the side of a wall in the tank near the surface.

It looked appealing, and Mirage loves to perch on plants so I picked one up, and placed it as it instructed on the wall.

In his 1.5 gallon tank there was 0 current from the filter.
It fell off its suction cup..

He's now in the 10 gallon with a stronger current,
It fell off its suction cup..

I watched and made sure he wasn't the one knocking it off, but it just fell on its own.

Has anyone used this product and had issues? or is it possible my hammock is defective. I was just curious before I returned it.. I think my betta would love it if it worked.

I made my own by sewing a fake leaf to a suction cup. You could always glue it back in the hole with aquarium sealant. Just let it dry for 24 hrs, and then put it back in the tank!

i have that betta hammock thing too.
mine was falling out alot at first but it eventually stuck and hasnt fallen out, if you aim the leaf slightly downward it helps.
im switching to a bigger tank tomorrow though so i dont know if it'll hold up

I don't have a problem with the leaf falling out but my suction cup always falls off the side of my tank, even after I try to wipe it clean of gunk as that helped one time.

I used aquarium silicone to glue mine into its hole, and it's been fine. He sleeps on it every night!

One suggestion, please look carefully at the bottom because I have had at least three and they all begin to rust. I remedied this by applying a bead of aquarium silicone to the bottom that runs the length of the leaf and that fixed it. Rust in the water is baaaad.
