With "baby bettas" from petco it's essentially fry without having to go through a spawn to get it. They are adorable but require just the same amount of work. Lots of clean water, lots of little feedings (like you might have to crush pellets) and lots of room to grow. As babies grow they release a growth stunting hormone. For a 2 gallon you'd have to do a 50% and a 100% water change once a week. If he was in a ten+ gallon that's still at least a 50% water change every week. Their fussy buggers but they are adorable to watch grow!
