So today I did a water change for Marcy and as I was emptying the water and catch her in the net she jumped out and into the sink. She floundered around for a while until I finally managed to scoop her out of the sink where she almost went down the drain. These little mistakes make me feel like such a terrible betta mommy.

Oh no! Don't feel bad, it happens to all of us! At least you managed to save her!

Don't worry too much, every pet owner feels like that when something like that happens, but at least you got her back in the tank! Depending on what kind of sink you have you could try to cover the drain right before you do a water change, although depending on what kind of drain cover is on there it might be a bit difficult to do, like if it has one of those dome shaped metal hole-y things.
