I heard that bettas and Cory’s could share a tank. I have a ten gallon tank and one made betta. I recently went to the pet store and got a mystery snail 2 pepper Cory’s and one panda Cory. The man helping me said that 3 Cory’s would be fine and that it didn’t matter that they were not the same kind. Now I’m reading that they HAVE to be the same kind and need at lest 5-6 in a school. Problem is, the nearest pet store is pretty far away and I don’t know when I’ll be able to get out there again. Should I be worried? Please help😂

I wouldn't worry.

It is always best to have six of a shoaling species and it would be imperative if you were housing a Nano/Dwarf species of Cory like Habrosus in with a predator. However, since these are not Nano fish they should be fine until you can add more. If it were me, I would eventually get two Panda and one Pepper so you have three of each.

If your Betta is not aggressive and the Cory have a place to shelter you should be fine until you can get more.

Can you post a picture of the entire tank?
