You need to attribute any image not your own unless it free use. Unfortunately, just saying "It isn't mine" isn't enough when it comes to copyrights. :-( At least that's the way it was back in my newspaper and magazine editing days. Might be different with the Internet.

Oh, so sorry! Didn't know about the copyright issues. I found it on Google and the link led My Aquarium Club and was posted by EvB. Is this sufficient? I could try to take the image down if not.

 

A lot of peoople don't realize about direct linking (hot linking) images. Here's some info to give you a better understanding (ignore the stupid red warning at the top of that page. it serves no purpose for learning... the rest of the information is valid);

If you needed to edit your original post, one of the admins can help you with it. I think there's a time limit for editing.

The image isn't linked but copied and pasted so there should be no bandwidth problems for MAC, correct? Moderators do it all of the time when someone posts a picture upside down or sideways. We save to computer; fix and return corrected image.

 

It's direct linked. Right click on the image, choose open image in new tab. If that image shows up as bettafish.com/imageInPost.jpg then it's fine. If it shows up as someothersite.com/imageinpost.jpg then it is direct linked.
