What is the max years a betta can live?

from the little research i've done, i've gathered that they can live around six years at most? someone correct me if i'm wrong!
6 seems on the high side but definitely possible. Am sure like humans, genetics and luck come into play. If you are a lucky enough owner to have the same betta at your side for that long a time, consider yourself blessed.
3-5 on average. When you get them at the store it is impossible to know age, but usually 6 months - 1 year old.
Sadly, more then not as of the last few years bettas in general have been living for only 1-3 years... but in the right environment, with the proper water changes it is possible to live up towards 7 years. But commonly, it's 3-5 in the average, well cared for betta.

Thank you!
Heres to hoping all of our well taken care of bettas live happy, long lives!
