Betta fix Usage

I would say do it once a day and then the next day do a 50% water change and then dose again.The problem with dosing to much meds is that it has effects on your tank as the medication breaks down it turns into ammonia and could kill beneficial bacteria

And provide photos. Many people think their Betta has fin rot when it's fin biting. Leads to unnecessary medicating.

Oh ok I haven't had a chance to buy a heater or filter yet (due to lack of money and waiting on my paycheck) but it tends to be pretty warm where I live so there's really no problems in the way of temperature. The closest desert �� to me is the Mojave desert �� and my bettas tank is 0.5 gallons of water he is very happy �� in the tank and I change his water every Sunday religiously lol. The conditioner I use is betta h20 conditioner which conditions, removes chloramines and chlorine relieves stress and promotes healing. It contains water,dechloraminating agent,synthetic organic polymers (colloids), Chelating agent, and electrolytes. It's made by zoo med laboratories inc.

I keep their water pretty immaculate with the conditioner I use and the cycling schedule. Our poor bettas had fin rot when we bought them from China town. I've never seen them biting their own fins and my roommate and I got them checked out by betta experts at PETsMART and petco. Plus I used to work for Petco so I kinda knew what to do lol but I still took them anyway. The water they came in was in absolute horrible condition. Thank God I got it changed when I did. The stores said betta fix is top of the line so I trust it and after giving it to my betta (my roommates betta still has two days to go) his fins are looking better than ever �� before they looked raggedy now they're full

Few people see their Betta bite their fins. But if you only water change a half-gallon container once per week you're probably right that the Betta have fin rot. Good luck and Welcome to the Forum!

thank you! Yeah I checked my ppor bettas fins before and they both had the red lining on it and at first they looked raggedy but now after using betta fix they look healthy again

Isn't my betta cute the way he flares up lol

Couldn't have agreed more. Putting med's in if its not fin rot isn't really worth as your treating the symptom not the cause. The main purpose of trying to get a fish in a more healthy state isn't about just trying to cure it but trying to figure out what caused it in the first place .

I think that Russel is trying to make the point that 1 water change per week on a 1/2 gallon tank will cause the fish to have fin rot or bite his fins because he is probably stressed and in too much ammonia!

I have a 1/2 gallon HOSPITAL TANK and I change out 50% daily...
