Betta just floats

Does your tank have a filter? - no
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? - no
Is your tank heated? - yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? – Alone

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? - Live Blackworms and Live Water FLeas
What BRAND of food do you feed it? – N/A
How often do you feed your betta fish? – About 2 times
How MUCH do you give at each feeding? – 3-4 worms/10 fleas

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? Every 3-4 days
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? – SeaChem Prime

Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? – Pale, Loss of color, Not "Shiny"
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? From active and flaring to just floating on the surface. Doesn't do anything. Doesn't eat either. Sometimes starts tilting to its side.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? 1 week ago
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? – I just added some aq. salt but cranked up temp. a little but nothing.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? – NO
How old is your fish - OR - How long have you owned it? - My HMPK is 7 months and ive had it for 3 months.

Does your betta look like they're having buoyancy issues? Have trouble with floating or bending their body in an "S" shape when they stop swimming? Or do you notice your betta has trouble swimming to the bottom? Any bloating? These are signs of SBD. In the case your betta has SBD, you can discontinue AQ Salt as AQ Salt is only used for physical treatments and injuries.

No. He doesn't display any of those signs. And yes I've stopped the aq salt for a day or two now.

It may be a sign of external parasites, but at the same time I'm honestly unsure. Conservative treatment is to just use AQ Salt with warm water for a few days but if that's not working, you may need to use medication. I'm rather inexperienced with parasites and loss of color symptoms, but I generally check this post for symptoms and ailments.

I'm sorry I was not able to help :( I do hope that your little guy starts to feel better.

are you able to provide a picture? When you say he tilts, does he appear to be fighting to stay upright and slumping? or is he merely flopping over and not bothering?
