I have a young mustard gas betta who I've just come home to find in a pretty deep sleep (it took him a minute or two to fully come to) and he's really quite pale. I know my tetras do this as they're also early nighters but I've never seen my betta like this. Is it normal? I know tetras do it to avoid predators so maybe he does too help!
So long as his water is the correct temperature & behavior is normal (not showing stress bars, just pale) I wouldn't worry about it. Most fish do pale overnight/during sleep. ^-^
