Its the glow lites, and I have neons so I know its not natural, its the bettas, this is the second this week they have killed, and i am down to three, I cannot net them at ALL. They are TOO steathy and it bugs me! I have safe tanks but I cant move them!

anyway, is this normal for the bettas? how can i net the tetras?

Bettas are highly aggressive fish. They don't do well with brightly colored, long finned, or nippy fish. Male Bettas should NEVER be kept with other Bettas unless you trying to breed a male and female. There are some Bettas that do well with other fish but it really isn't worth the risk. Female Bettas are genraly okay with other fish but you should just take the Bettas out if they are eatting your tetras.
Should have removed them at the first sign of problems like I suggested..
Netting fish? Persistence. Remove all decor if you have to.

female bettas are just as aggressive. I though mine will get along well with my endlers.... nope.
Bettas are highly aggressive fish. << Not all the time! My Kyon can be a bit grumpy but most of the time he's an angel! They don't do well with brightly colored, long finned, or nippy fish. There are some Bettas that do well with other fish but it really isn't worth the risk. << aslong as you have a spare tank or somewhere to house a betta if he or she gets too aggressive then it is worth the risk. The first month is really the tell tale time to see if your betta is compatable. Female Bettas are genraly okay with other fish but you should just take the Bettas out if they are eatting your tetras.
I'd take the bettas out or use 2 nets to lure them away from one net and straight into another, it's how I caught my mother in laws super fast and crafty molly.
yeah this is week 2 with the new gals, but i had older girls in there and they were fine, but I guess its time to put them with Pog? They bite his fins though. I might call up a friend, but her family TORTURES those fish. What do do :'( My hospital tank is only 2.5 gallons.
Have you actually seen them kill the other fish, or attack them? Have you seen abnormal behaviour of the Tetras? Tetras are very senstitive fish and have very special requirements. They aren't hardy fish due to massive inbreeding and have many genetic issues and are weak from the inbreeding. I wouldn't be suprised if the tetras are actually sick due to there sensitivity.
nope, and the neons are fine and they are weaker.
Unlike neons, glowlites haven't been weakened by overbreeding, and they are an extremely hardy fish, especially for a tetra.
Well I moved them all to the 2.5 gal and am floating it in the 20 gallon because the little heater for it SUCKS
If you can't find anywhere big enough to house the tetras you might want to see if you can rehome them :(
