Hi. I was just watching my betta Cosmo swimming around, showing off, and I noticed that his red pelvic fins are turning a shiny white colour. Its not fuzzy so I know its not fin rot. I just don't know what it is. Other than that he's a happy betta, swimming around, eating and playing. Does anyone know what this could be?

P.s. I tried to take a picture, but he would stay still enough lol

The tips of my betta's pelvic fins have been white since I got him. He otherwise seems very healthy. Not sure if this is normal or not, just letting you know yours isn't the only one! You can see mine in my profile pic.

Thanks. Yes, the ventral is what I meant. Some places say pelvic, others ventral, some both. This sounds like a normal thing for Bettas then
I'm glad Cosmo is OK. He's such a beautiful fish. He's a double ray crowntail. Though I do think all bettas are lovely. I'm just glad there's nothing wrong. One less worry for me.

All three of my boys have white tips on their ventrals.
