I put my gal in, i regulated the temps tempertures, i waited till she stopped nipping him thru the glass ( i put him in a cup and if she nips his find i keep them apart) so i put her in and they like ignore ech other.. is it the aquarium salt in the tanks? will it work better in a bigger tank?

he chases her but never nips her and chases her rarely. she generally avoids him.. help?! is the tank too small maybe? its only 2.5 gal but hes a egg eater, never had him not eat the eggs, im more testing to see how well SHE breeds. first time breeding alone help!

Sometimes bettas just don't breed. The are individuals. Also, you shouldn't be using AQ salt in a breeding tank.
