My betta is bloated. He floats to the top and sits underneath the filter all day and barely moves. Now he won't even eat! I don't know what to do! I put up a previous question a few weeks ago but he hasn't gotten better.

What size is your tank?
1 Gallon
What temperature is your tank?
78F ish
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
There's a light and it keeps the temp up a few degrees than normal
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?
No tank mates

What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?
Every other dayish

How often do you perform a water change?
1~3 times a week
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?
Water Conditioner and Stress Coat

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
Bloated belly and a much shorter tail (due to recent fin rot)
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
He floats underneath the filter and wont move unless the water within an inch of him is disturbed.
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Yes. I tried a bit of AQ salt and after a couple hours he was perfect. The next morning however, he had gotten worse. Then a couple days later I switched to Epsom salt. This didn't change anything. I did 100% water changes daily and put him in a quarantine tank. I even had him fast. This changed nothing
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
Yes, he has had fin rot. I treated that with a tsp of Aquarium salt whenever I changed the water. The red coloring on the edges of his fins have gone and the fins have stopped receding.
How old is your fish (approximately)?
I would guess around 7 months.

Thank you to anyone who can help me!!

First of all, I think you should do a Water Change every other day.
It is under 2.5 Gallons, and Ammonia would build up quickly. A Filter with a Current would be too strong and useless. Cycling a Tank 5 Gallons and Under is close to Impossible. You have to feed your Fish a Varied Diet and everyday.
3-4 Pellets one at a time each day would be good. Okay to Cure this, you have to find the Problem. Did you feed him too much? Is his Poo white? If you are feeding too much, he is Overfed. You have too Fast him a few days, and try to find Frozen Daphnia. It helps too clean out the System. If the Poo is white, he may have Internal Parasites. To cure it, I think you have to have Medicated Foods for him. I never researched about Internal Parasites before. I guess you and I can research about this. Good Luck with him!!!
