So suddenly, lots of brown algae started to grow everywhere in my 10gallon divided tank. I have a male betta on each side. The gravel (mine is white) is being covered in brown and the plants and decorations are turning brown as well. I don't want to take everything out to clean again. Is there some kind of snail or shrimp I can put in each side to eat this algae? I am aware they can't live off this algae forever.

My nerite will eat any kind of algae. I'm also having the same issue with diatoms and other algae appearing everywhere in my ten gallon. It killed off my vals and anacharis! Depending on how bad it is you may need 2 nerites. My one is pretty big and she can hardly put a dent in it.
