I got a baby betta, Charlie, from Petco about a month and a half ago. The past 2-3 weeks I have really noticed a color change and bigger fins. But he definitely isn't done growing yet. Today I went to change his water and I noticed what looked like a bubble nest forming near his filter (I'm positive the bubbles aren't from the filter). They were really tiny little bubbles all formed together into a decent sized blob of bubbles. Could it be a bubble nest? I don't think he's quite grown enough for him to be mature yet. Can anyone give me some insight?

It probably is a bubble nest, even young betta and females can make them. Usually it's a good sign that he's in the mood for lovin or he feels secure in his territory or he feels manly or happy or just wanted to make one.
