I'm sure there are threads about this, but...

I am currently watching my betta build a bubble nest and I just wanted to say, it is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time!

In his old tank he built bubble nests galore but I never got to see him do it. He's so focused, over by his heater, bubble-nesting away. I kind of feel like its a privilege to get to see it happen!

Hopefully you guys get what I mean, so I don't sound crazy

the other day my fish spent about 4 hours building a bubble nest. that day i had to change his water and it went by by. i know he's just a fish but i think he's mad at me in some way now.

what made me feel bad is he rushed it save it as the bubbles popped in the middle. he started blowing bubbles right where it opened up.

i wish my betta would make a bubble nest. since a bubble nest means they want to mate if your betta doesnt does that mean that hes to old to mate? can a betta be too old to mate?

Hi!

I am by no means an expert but I've read they will do bubble nests when they're comfortable in their surroundings, or when they're ready to mate (of course).

Is your betta relatively new to its home? If not then I'd be curious to know if they get too 'old' to make nests, too!
