is it a nice clean rip? just some good clean water should be fine. He should heal up quick

And yea, it's a nice rip, nothing else is affected. I gave him a tank cleaning now to help. Do I need salt for it?

If you usually use stress coat that will do I usually don't grab salt unless they are suffering from disease. A ripped fin is quite normal. it should heal up in 4 or five days. if you really want, some salt will probably help keep infection at bay

Awwwww you dont have to do that As long as there was nothig sharp he probably just ripped it when he was flaring

I wasn't sure if it was the flaring or not since it was perfectly okay this morning.

His eel toy broke and there's a portion of it that I've been hesitant about and I'm afraid that is what it is...
But I'm putting the turtle and buddha in there tomorrow..unless I get another tank.

ooh which tank are you looking at? I'm going to get the glass 2.5 gallons on friday!

I don't know yet, hopefully something about a 5 gallon or smaller.
