I saw a similar thread and it reminded me. I'll be camping this weekend for 2 days, and I read that bettas can survive not having food for over that amount of time, so I'm good there. However, is it essential to have a timer that'll turn the light on and off, or would my betta be fine with the light off for two days? I checked Petsmart's website and they only have one that's found in-store and it's by Zoo Med (the $10 one), and Petco has a few found in-store but they're expensive for what they are.

For two days, unless your room is pitch black all day, he'll be fine with ambient light to maintain his rhythm. The lights would be more important if you have live plants.

If you did want a timer, you could also check Walmart for light timers.

Any hardware store will have timers, I like those with manual little flips for the scheduling over digital which can lose their data in a power outage. I use them on all of my lights.

As long as you have a window in the room for light, then you have nothing to worry about.
