I have an ivory mystery snail that is showing signs of calcium deficiency in its new shell growth. I read online that I can toss in antacid tablets to increase the calcium in the water. I just so happen to have some berry flavored generic store brand “tums” that I take for my acid reflux. Can I use those?

Generic “tums” from Walgreens.

Cuttlebones work also so does Egg Shell.

You need to boil the egg shell and remove the membrane before crushing it into a powder, you can then add a small amount of this calcium powder to the tank to supplement the calcium levels in tap water.

You can also feed the snail Spinach which contains enough calcium to supplement the water content
