So I have a big move coming up - about 14 hours of driving. I plan on heavily cushioning my betta so that he doesn't get tossed around and it's slightly darker to reduce stress. My question is, what is the benefit of a bag over a closed container? Like a jar or thermos (to keep temperature steady). Both are closed so oxygen is limited - but I thought that with a thermos type thing I could open it every now and then to refresh oxygen. Thoughts? Would love to hear your experiences.

Other travel methods also welcome, but since I'm driving (to save on the cost of shipping everything) I figure it's the easiest way to transport my fish. He gets stressed pretty easily so please give me all your advice on lowering that! :)

I think the thermos is a great idea. That or bag it and put the bag in a cooler.
