Ive had my tank set up (fishless cycle) since Monday and I've been testing it everyday, I put the amount of water conditioner in that the bottle instructed to at first but I can't get the chlorine level to budge so I've been putting in 1ml more each day but it's not making any difference. What should I do?

I suggest that your test is flawed. What are you using for testing? Chlorine will dissapate naturally when open to the air.

Tetra test 6 in 1 strips. I've had my tank open since I set it up, only decided to put the hood on last night.

You may find that the strips are faulty. They usually aren't as reliable as liquid tests, depending on how they've been stored (both prior and after sale). I'm not sure if you can get liquid tests for chlorine but hopefully someone else will know for certain.

Thanks. The strips were sealed in a metal tube when I bought them and they are sealed with a stopper. It's just my luck, they were expensive as well. I'll look out for a liquid test kit.
