I brought home two bettas yesterday, one has sever SBD or something, his fins are completely wilted and he was floating on his side
I improvised two small tanks for now..
If anyone has any advice on the SBD one with the crooked spine let me know there is a picture of him on here
I was inspired by a great link on how to live with a chronic SBD betta : http://www.petfish.net/kb/entry/155/

Very nice set up! I love the cat, too. What size Kritter Keeper are those? Are they the Medium sized ones?

yes, they are medium, not sure how many galllons, definitely smaller than my 3 gallon large one, actually I am thinking about getting the x-large (i think it's five gallons) and splitting it so they can share a good heater when they get better if anyone know how to split a 5 gal critter keeper let me know
I love critter keepers and have gotten the water changes down to a science-
I fill one gallon jugs with cold tap water, conditioner and aquarium salt and let them age overnight, when i do the change i put the gallon jugs in hot sink water and submerge them till the temps right (80 degrees) then do the water change and immediately fill the jugs back up-repeat the process again-very easy now
Thanks to this forum :)

I thought so. Quick question, what type of heater is that? Blade is in an orange one, and I was curious.

I think someone on here did divide a 5 gallon Kritter Keeper.

it's a hydor 7.5, I don't recommend them actually but I couldn't afford two marine stealths..yet...the hydor is working better in these smaller tanks then in my 3 gallon (where it did nada) and last night i had it in improvised 1/2 gallon jugs and it was nice and toasty so i think they do better in small waters..

find me that critter keeper divider thread! lol

Cute fish. I love the cat. Looks like the kitty we may be bringing home soon.
