I'd like to know of any clear coats that are aquarium safe. You see I'm thinking of making a small 2/2.5 gallon tank for a Rosetail Betta I have my eye on (he i so beautiful! Black, Orange and Gold! SO AMAZING TO LOOK AT! Plus he's perfect for the coming Fall!) and I was thinking of going with a part sand, part dice for the bottom of his tank!

The only problem is I'm not sure if straight uncoated dice will be safe for his tank!? I'm wondering if anyone else has created or seen a tank with dice in it and if they have do they have any suggestions for me :D Should I clear coat them? Or is it safe to just drop them in after a good long soak.

see if you can find food grade glaze like the kind they use on ceramic mugs and plates

the plastic on the dice is ok, its the little painted divits you have to worry about

i think krylon clear glaze could work but dont take my word for it, anyone know if this is safe?
