I picked this beautiful boy up today after seeing him in the store for a week.
He's a double halfmoon, but it looks like some his tail fins were cut. :'(

Has anyone seen this before? Will they grow back?

Does he have any fin rot? its hard to tell from the photo.

Fins generally will grow back but they may never look the same.

No fin rot. They have a straight edge. I looks like someone took a pair of scissors to his tail fins.

He could have been tail biting in the cup, thats not uncommon.

Just keep his water extra clean so that no rot develops.
