Hello all!

I got a new betta sometime last week, and I've noticed a gradual color change on his fins that are making me worry. I've never owned a white betta before, and I'm not sure how much of a color change to expect as he gets healthier, and I'm very afraid of him being sick. He has red spots/streaks on his fins and a darkish blue/black streak. (If it's just a color change, I've very sorry for being silly ) I couldn't get a great picture, but I tried. The first picture is of the day after I got him. Picture two shows what he currently looks like.

Housing:
How many gallons is your tank? 1:75
Does it have a filter? No
Does it have a heater? Yes
What temperature is your tank? 79F (usually 80F, I did a water change)
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? Yes
Does your Betta have tank mates? What kind? No

Food:
What food brand do you use? Wardley
Do you feed flakes or pellets? Pellets
Freeze-dried? As a treat, freeze dried blood worms
How often do you feed your Betta? How much? 1 pellet in the morning and 1 at night, with a blood worm once a week.

Maintenance:
Before your Betta became ill how often did you perform a water change? Every 3 days
What percentage of water did you change? 30%
Do you vacuum the substrate or just dip out water? Scoop out water
What additives do you use? BettaSafe by Tetra

Water Parameters:

I don't own a test kit yet.

Symptoms and Treatment:
When did you first notice the symptoms? He had one spot when I got him, and they just gradually get bigger.

How has your Betta’s appearance changed? Red streaks/spots, as well as a darkish blue one
How has your Betta’s behavior changed? It hasn't. Eats well, is social and active
Is your Betta still eating? Yes
Have you started treating your Betta? If so, how? No
Does your Betta have any history of being ill? Unknown
How long have you owned your Betta? Was he or she a rescue? Almost one week, not quite a full week. Got him from Petco

I am not expert.....but the fish from these chain stores often look like death in the cup...and I mean that literally.
I bought a "white" fish...very plain fellow, named him snowflake. After a couple of weeks he's starting to marble up a bit and he changed to yellow...LOL I need to change his name to lemon drop now. Another fish I have did this too...it's amazing what they can change into once they get out of that filthy cup.
