Hey!
So I got a 15 gallon tank today, with accessories for 20$ :-D I plan on dividing it in half for 2 of my boys. Where should the filter and heater go?

If the divider has holes in it big enough to allow the water to flow freely through it to be cleaned then the filter can go either side, the heater I guess would be enough to heat the whole tank so that could again go either side so maybe heater on one side filter on the other? just to give your boys equal space.

Ugh the filter is MASSIVE..

So I have the heater on one side, and the filter on the other I'm going to have to baffle the filter though. I still need to get the divider, but so far it's looking great! A tad on the bare side...each side only has 2 silk plans, and one hidey cave...

I wanted to do that! But the filter I have is MASSIVE.... it's ridiculous. The filter I got (only one I could find ugh) is the Tetra Whisper In-Tank Power Aquarium Filter, for up to 20 gallons.

Why not just replace it with a bubble/sponge filter? HOB filters are just too powerful for bettas.

Generally it is a good idea to have the filter as near to the heater as possible - then the filter circulates the warmth from the heater.

It's the only filter I could find near me. I plan on baffling it

It isn't too far from the heater! So hopefully it will work alright. I will have a thermometer on each side :-D Just to keep an eye on both fish

Put all the stuff between two craft-mesh dividers.
