Hard to tell form this camera but did my best. I just don't know because i heard it needs to be black at the tip, but it seems to be getting worse. The tail seems to have slits in it too. I made sure to have no plastic plants, one is silk and the other is made up of a soft thread/silk like material

that looks more like ripping and minor nibbling. It's common for males with large, heavy fins to nibble at them.

Just keep the water cleaner to prevent infection and you should be good.

Alright, thanks so much! Yea I know it looks pretty bad at the very front of the tank, its because yesterday I spilled too much betta food in by accident:shock:, I did a water change though right after and got it alll out. I didn't think it looked like fin rot but i couldn't think of what it could be. He's in a 5g, but only has one plant in it, do you think more plants might help this, or is there really nothing i can do, and its just what he will always do. I guess he doesn't need that finrot stuff I bought lol

He is light in color, so you should be looking for any blacken or red edges or the shredded fin tissue looks shriveling up. Probably be better if you could put more decors and plants in there to keep him interested so he won't have too much time to be chomping on his tail. I see you have a rock there, make sure it's not too rough. Handsome boy you have there!

Thanks for answering. Sorry for taking 6 months to reply lol. Well he is stil doing well but fins are still shredded looking in the back, and I only have silk plants. I took that rock thing out today though so maybe it will make a difference!
