I have guppies and am concerned that they may have callamanus. I had a female with a long pink string hanging from her for a couple days, but thought nothing of it because she had given birth the day before, but then on the third day the string fell off, but she died soon after. Now I have another female with a pink string hanging from her and one with a large pink round shape under her. Their behaviour hasn't changed in anyway and The other fish in the tank all seem fine.

Googling seems to suggest callamanus, but before ordering and using medication was looking for some confirmation (live in a rural area where pet stores/vets aren't readily available)

If it is callamanus what is the best treatment?

Can you get a clearer photo? Has she given birth at all too?
I'm afraid it does look like it has worms. What other fish do you have other than those guppies?
