EMERGENCY need natural remedies

516 Views 10 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Glory
I need some sort of natural remedy for glory he has clamped fins and barely eats. He has been sitting at the bottom of the tank and won't move unless I move something he's next to. I'm really scared because I just lost Malibu to sbd and I don't want to Lose glory. He ate a bunch today. He didn't have clamped fins on Wednesday when I left for my dad's house. Could he be depressed? I haven't been around because my room is full of fleas and I can't sleep in my room. Also one last thing he has like a thin layer of algae looking film on him. Any help would be great.

I don't have the money to buy any salt either. Unless you can use kosher or Himalayan salt
If your room is full of fleas..... was it treated with a chemical? If your room was treated with something to kill the fleas, I would move Glory ASAP into another room, and do a full water change for him.

If no chemicals were used in your room, then could you fill out the form below so that we have more information? Answer what you can, and leave anything else blank.

Also, can you post some photos of him?

What size is your tank?
What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
What BRAND of food do you feed it?
How often do you feed your betta fish?
How MUCH do you give at each feeding?

How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

agreed answer the questions above.
No chemicals have been used just baking soda salt and vacuuming
Please fill out every question that was posted above. Otherwise we cannot help you.
1) Can you post a photo?
2) Can you fill out the form posted above?
Kosher salt is basically aquarium salt. But, don't use anything unless you know what's wrong.
He died while I went to visit my grandpa
Im sorry for your loss.

Next time when you post of this forum, please fill out the forms that we post. Its the best way for us to help you since we can't be there to see the fish in person :)
I didnt have the time. I was cleaning and trying to pack and get everything ready to go.
