Hi everyone!

I am about to get a betta, and I know that clamped fins are a sign of something stressful or wrong, but I have no idea what they look like, and since I don't know what I am looking for, google images is not helping. Can someone give me a good picture of what clamped fins look like? Also, which fins am I looking at? I just want to know what I am looking for in my betta.

Thanks!

It basically looks like this for almost all bettas. Their fins will be "melted" together.

okay, so their caudal and dorsal fin is not "spread out", and their ventral fin is against their belly? I just want to be sure...

Minor clamping will be the tips of their fins, but severe clamping will be their whole fin. It can happen to any of their fins. This is what my poor Cronus looked like before he passed away this week ...
