To those who have bought any female bettas from petco/petsmart I have notice that their females are fairly tiny but do they stay that way forever or have people experienced that their tiny females have grown into a good sized female?

any examples would be a huge plus.

Wow I just bought my girlfriend a female from petco and it was that same size in your before picture. She said she's been getting bigger but I didn't think they could grow that much.

Yea depending on a betta's genes normal is 2 inches which is what Patty is. Some can get over that though. I have one boy who maxed out at 2 1/4.

Oh and my females are bigger than most of my males body-wise that is.

She is almost 2. Well I have had her almost 2 years so I am sure she is closer to 2 2 1/2. hard to tell because the old ones can be small and the young ones big sometimes.

I just got a ct female from Petsmart a few days ago and she's tiny. I would estimate her to be around 3-4 months old.
