What i did for a filter baffle was i got an older bio-filter from when my tank filter broke

and cut the bottom off and put it right where the water flows out

and now its really smooth! and it doesn't fall out if you cut it right...​

Just be careful that it isn't pushing your motor to work harder. Sometimes baffles can do that, which will cause the motor to burn out. This doesn't look like it will though - look very smart, too, like it's part of the filter!
