So i bought my male betta about a week ago, he had a good set up. Ie filter, heater and plenty of places to hide. ( nothing sharp) i also ave cleaned 25% of the water twice this past week.

But his tail looks like its getting a little duller and i dont understand why?

To me it either looks like the begginging stages of fin rot or something bite his tail previously and its infected maybe?


Either way i saved him from petsmart and personally will not be buying bettas through petsmart ever again. My female i got from a breeder is perfectly heallthy and happy! My pour Lucky

From the photos it doesn’t seem like it however the pictures are a little blurry(understandable as it’s hard to Photograph a fish) and the lighter tail may be the light as it looks like he has a relatively see through tail

Thats all i needed to hear, i am a paranoid pam & just got freaked out cause his fins looked darker! Thanks for the reassurence!
