Hi!
So, I'm saving for a bigger tank for my beloved female Betta. Instead of doing a bunch of fake plants, I wanted to do a planted tank for her!
The tank will be 2.5 gallons and have a filter and heater. For substrate I wanted to do black sand. Other decorations will be the Petco Broken Jug Ornament (on their website), river rocks, and shells ( both of these are from the dollar store and have already been proven to be safe in my aquariums). The lighting will be from a very bright bedside lamp unless I can find a good 2.5 gallon tank lid with lights.
I really wanted to do some assorted Anubias from Petco, maybe some java moss, and some type of grass like plant. I was also wanting some kind of tall plant for the back, like hornwort, or something like that. Are there any types of plants that look like grass that I could put in? Sorry of that sounds kind of stupid, but I'm new to planted tanks. I'm just really looking for low maintenance and low light plants for my Betta.:-D
