Just now Chopsticks tank smashed on half... Lucky I was able to scoop the poor thing up and place him in a plastic container while I get the tank ready (a shared one with 3 other Bettas).

However I've just noticed a few injuries from the glass. He used to have not a patch of red on his body before hand....

Chopsticks is now in Jester's tank ie "Quarantine"

Btw I was About to put in the "Aquarium salt" that a pet store had just suggested to me and I got a bit fishy (no pun intended).

Is this REALLY AQ salt?

Urrr more issues with this one!

I haven't been able to get the salt (won't be able until Saturday).

Chopsticks' behavior has been weird; on the first day in quarantine he went very pale and sickly, gasping at the top of the tank.

24hrs later he seemed all fine then (refusing to eat and still little skittish) with all his colour back, now another day later he even eats and seems to be getting his energy back.

This evening though I noticed an odd scale discolouration (rusty like shade) from his throat going between his pectorial fins. It's not on his actual fins so I don't hink its fin rot...what could it be?

I could I swear he had mask, but it could just be me... Chopsticks sure didn't stay still enough for me in the past....

Update:
He's all healed up now :)
(well I think he is... The scales have grown over the wounds in some areas)

Then Idiscovered the finrot yesterday D:
I guess the injury left him a bit supseptable. I've been seeing black flakes from the day before but put down as poo.
Anyway did 50% change with Jungle Eliminator (left from Prada), when I came home next day he look pretty down so I did 100% and rinsed in vinegar the tank before I stuck him back in with medicated water.

Seems he's pretty happy now, with discoloured scales between his pectorals (which I heard could be stress) and really shorter fins, but that should be it.... Lols at least no more black flakes have appeared in the tank over night.
