Do you still have cultures availble? I was going to order from the worm guy but would rather get from you
Interested in a full starter set culture. Is one available?
I have been prepping cultures for sale over the winter (had a near culture crash that I've been recovering from-forgot to feed for a week opps). In winter the chance of worms surviving in the mail is low but its starting to warm up! I'm hoping I can begin shipping them soon. I had a waiting list that I will contact people from in the order they asked about a culture but can add you to it.
Due to shipping cost increase by USPS the price will be a little higher, but I'll be adding an extra item I find very helpful when culture cleaning ^^
Thank you for the suggestion. Since the worms live in the pads I ship them on the pads as I'd not get as many out if I rinsed the pad out to harvest worms for transport. The pipet that comes with the fulls tarter kit should make it easy enough to suck out from in the bag with a little water added ^^Got the pkg. yesterday... all OK.
Just wanted to make a small suggestion.... Plastic bags can be difficult to get all worms from... I did rinse the bags in distilled watr and harvest worms from the bottom.... I have found in the past that using the smallmpalstic sauc cups used for ketchup and other sauces at Arby's, Burger King etc, wer excellent for transporting culture..... Worms that free themselves from the media can be easily scraped from the sides without using water.. It's NOT a problem... Just something I found useful when I was active in local clubs and used to transport cultures for other members. Best of all you can grab a few extra cups when you are having a fast food break and they're free. Everything was fine... worms I harvested were moving... Have had Grindals in the past so rinsing and harvesting was no problem.
