Well just happened to be raining alot and the gutters got flooded and the road is cover with water etc. but i was standing outside watching the tadpoles after a heavy rain fall swim around when i spotted a baby catfish! So i jumped up ran inside grabbed a plastic cup as well as the little fish net and scooped up the catfish put him in the cup and started thing about what to do with him.... (LIGHT BULB) i can put him in the 40 gallon tank were Plumpy the little oranda goldfish lives. And that's what i did acclimate water of the catfish and in he went with Plumpy. Right away he went and hide under the piece if drift wood i set up for him next to the plants. And that's how he lives;every morning the light turns on swim out from from under the wood go through the plants behind the bubbler pick up a piece of bottom feeder sinking food go back behind the bubble and through the plants and eat<------ do that twice a day  catfish and Plumpy get along great, the catfish stays under the log all day except for feeding time but he swims around at night. So i was wondering has any body keep these two together before? what were the results? Oh and i need a name for the baby catfish he hasent had one and hes been with us for 2 months so please list any names that would be good for a baby catfish. Thanks!!

The only problem is you are not supposed to release wild fish that have been kept in an aquarium back into the wild because they could be carrying potentially dangerous pathogens that could affect the native fish.

I am not sure if it is illegal to actually re-release captured fish so this is just something you should be aware of.
