Hello! I wonder if any of you lovely people can help me?
We lost our boy Dumbo Betta earlier this year
a couple of months ago I was at the fish store and they had what was listed as a female Halfmoon Betta (we have called her Hilda). 'She' lives in a 90L with two pigmy corys, one bristlenose pleco, and a disabled Bolivian Ram (Dangerous Derek).
However, I am questioning whether or not 'she' is actually not a 'he' - is there a fail-safe way to tell? There is no aggression or flaring, she is very placid and doesn't bother the other fish at all, but she looks too stunning to be a she..! I could be totally wrong of course! She's around 2 inches long, and very wide, too!
