Okay so I've been looking into heaters a little bit for my 10 gallon split (Remmy and Ditto) and my two 3 gallons (Mercury in one and Aero in the other)

I found these heaters here and was wondering if anyone had used these before, I've never heard or seen of the first one:

But it looks very interesting and what I might possibly need in my 3 gallons since the temperature stays at 78 which I don't think my Betta's enjoy very much. I'd like to be able to up to to a steady 79-80 degrees. I know that's not much but Mercury is basking in the glory of the 85 degree tank and loving every second of it! He's only floating in there to get rid of his Ich though.

And then the next one I believe I've seen people talk about before but I just want to make sure before I even start actually considering buying it.

Any ideas or other suggestions? I have a limited budget until I can actually find a darn job so tell me what y'all think!

Did you check Amazon.com? I'm a poor college student, so I get all my stuff from there. I found the heater that I have in my 10g on there for only like $11 or so and it keeps my tank at a pretty solid 77*F

Yeah I checked amazon. And I do have heaters for them right now, mostly keeping around 78 degrees but they like the higher temp of 80. So I want adjustable heaters but obviously for a 3 gallon, it needs to be kind of small.

And yay for poor college students! ><

I really love my Elite adjustable heater. I have had it for around 6 months now and the temp never goes up or down its always the same no matter what the room temp is which I kept a close eye on this winter. I have the 50 watt for my 5 gallon and it also comes in a 25 watt which would be great for your 3 gallon.

Its kinda confusing because it says preset but its adjustable, the knob at the top is where you adjust it to the temp you want.

Well I have the Hydor Theo in my 2.5 gl tank and it keep a steady 79 degrees!
I'm sure it could go higher, but I think my Mooshoo likes the 79*F temp.

Mooshoo is all I can afford..... :/ barely.

Well I have the Hydor Theo in my 2.5 gl tank and it keep a steady 79 degrees!

I have 3 of these from Dr Fosters & Smith. Love them!

I absolutely love the ViaAqua Quartz heaters. I have one in my 10 gallon, one in my 2 gallon hex, and even in my 1 gallon baby betta tank. The only problem I have is that you need to set the temp lower in a smaller tank to start, then work your way up to the temp you want. I agree on the via aqua I have one of these and several hydor theo. there's another thread on here from today recommending the hydor ones, I like them and I also like the via aqua. The difference I've seen is that the hydor theo are completely submersible and you can suction them horizontally in the tank and the via aqua is just for putting upright.

Either are great

Thank you everyone! Great reviews and stuff. I think I'll go with the Elite one just because it is smaller, these are going in my 3 gallon tanks and a spare one for a hospital tank when I need it! And then the 50 watt for my 10 gallon.

I'm always tentative about putting a heater fully submerged in horizontal because I had one that said "Fully Submersible" and it went on the fritz and shorted out on me, nearly fried my Bettas! So yeah....I'll leave the dials still above the water lol I'm paranoid I know.
