By the way, i have a question.
My female betta was written as crowntale at the home improvement store.
but i think that it's like CTPK.
Is there a good way to tell them apart?
(i'm pc user, so i can't send picture)

Hello. Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of bettas.

It's difficult to determine long or short fin females unless they show significantly long caudals. Unless you breed them, you can only believe their store labels

BTW, your English is fine

Betta splendens are naturally violent. But don't worry too much. Against an equally violent male, she should submit.

Isolate both. Feed well for 1-2 weeks. Then let them see each other. They should flare then swim all over their tanks in a wriggling fashion. If both act that way, you can release both in the breeding tank.

If one flares but stays in it's position, that means it wants to fight. Flare it to a mirror (if you don't have another betta) for 30-60 minutes. Then let it rest for a day. Flare it on the following day. It should want to breed.

Good luck.
