Hello!
My name is Sarah and I am fairly new to this awesome forum ^_^ I think I may have been a member here for about a month now, but I never really introduced myself XD
I am an artist-http://kasarawolf.deviantart.com/ and a proud owner of 6 Betta's ^0^ (And 1 Toad and 8 other fish lol)
So! Here is my story of how I got into Bettas~
I got my first Betta when I was REALLY young. His name was Jackie Chan. However, he didn't last very long, since my family and I were very inexperienced in fish tank keeping ):
Now, about 10 years later, in early December, I just happened to go into the fish department, where I noticed a whole stack of Betta's. It was weird, since I never really looked at them, but for some reason, was drawn to check them out.
That is when I went home with my Second Betta, Orlando. A little "salamander" when I first got him, now he is a big 3"+ guy who only likes me XDD I first noticed him in the way back. I saw rainbow like scales flashing everywhere, where, a little irritated Veiltail, who was very claustrophobic of his tiny cup, greeted me. He was an angry fellow and was stressing out major time. I couldn't resist, brought him home for $1.99. After that...I think the addiction kicked in. Never knew I would end up with the Betta's and fish tanks I have now XDD I even went so far as to convince my friends to buy Betta's, in which, one of them has a whopping total of 13 now XD
Since I am highly allergic to practically anything fuzzy, fish/betta's make me so happy, since I can now have a pet that won't kill me XD
Also....any other Betta lovers/breeders here in Littleton, Colorado? I feel like I am the only one sometimes XDD I can't really talk to my friends about them, since I bet they find it weird at times that I am so obsessed with these little guys. :lol:
